As you can tell from my blog, Moe's TU luvs Lake Tawakoni! We got out of AR a day early ( for good reason ) and made a BEE-LINE to Matts Guide Service! Called Matt on the way home and booked a trip for 5-27! Game was on at day light! Found schooling sand bass and hybrids by the dam in 4-8 feet of water! That cooled down around 9 AM and the hunt was on! Matt has a very cool way to locate the hybrids and weed out sand bass. Book a trip with him and I bet he shares this seek and destroy method :)
Had a bite to eat for lunch and back at it around Noon! It was very hot with ZERO wind! Most SportsFans went to the ramp, but BIG COUNTRY said hang on another 30 mins! We did, and it paid off big time! Matt found the mother load of fish on some humps by Holiday Marina and we wore fish out on every cast til 4 PM! It was a great day and I look forward to my next trip to Twak!
Lake Tawakoni Sportsman Association Sand Bass Tournament is June 12, 2010. Ya'll get over to Twak and support these people. This group keeps Hybrids stocked in Twak so ya'll can have a good old big'un tug on your string! Might want to hire Big Country B4 the big event? Just Say'n??
